Payment terms
Prices are quoted per head.
A non-refundable deposit of £10 per
head is payable on all bookings, the number being that quoted at the time of
deposit payment. The balance per head is payable on the day. If you vary your
party size the following terms apply:
|
Should less attend, there will be no
refund of the deposit but a balance is due for the revised party number. | |
|
Should the number increases then the
balance is due for the original number plus a full price per head for the extra
number. |
Payment may be made by cheque to “Windy Harbour Farm Hotel” or by credit/debit card, by telephoning Graham Caesar at Windy Harbour Farm Hotel on 01457 766088, quoting your party date, confirming the number in your party and if you require trophies or prizes.
Free places and special
promotions
Free places and any special promotions are based on the number of persons attending on the day and not the time of booking. We reserve the right to waive any promotion or free place for a reduction in party numbers below the threshold.
Telephone bookings are taken as provisional
unless accompanied by a credit card deposit. To secure your booking a deposit is
required within 14 days of the provisional booking. Should you book within 14
days of the event itself then the deposit is due at the time of booking.
Please ensure your arrives promptly. We may have further bookings after yours or may have other functions planned later in the day. Being a small hotel we may not be able to accommodate your party if you are unduly late and so reserve the right to vary your programme. In any case if you expect to be late then please telephone ahead.
A full safety induction will be given at the start of your day. Clay shooting is a safe sport if treated with care and respect.
Drugs and alcohol use
Drugs, alcohol and shooting don't mix. For your own safety we would, therefore, ask that you don’t “have one or two jars” prior to coming to shoot. The instructors reserve the right to refuse anyone showing signs of significant alcohol consumption or is thought to be acting in a manner which they believe to be detrimental to the safety of others.
Clothing and footwear
We can't stress enough the need to be dressed appropriately for the sport and the conditions. Remember we are in moorland on the edge of the peak district so suitable attire is required. Stout, waterproof footwear and warm clothing are a must. It may be a heat wave when you leave home but it’s almost certain to be a few degrees cooler here. We also advise you bring a waterproof layer as your shoot will take place come rain or shine!
In addition it is always advisable to wear a good protective layer on the upper body, particularly the shoulder as this is the area which takes most impact in shooting.
Please,
for your own safety and comfort, dress accordingly.
